Privacy policy

This policy explains what Bassendean.net (run by Deliberate Pty Ltd, PO Box 32, Bassendean WA 6054) collects when you use the site, and why.

What we collect

• When you read the site: we count page views and clicks on a business's phone, website, directions and social links, per business and per day, so we can tell businesses how their listing is doing. We don't store your IP address or set a cookie to do this, and we don't count search engine robots.
• Analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful. It uses cookies. Visitors in Europe are asked first; you can change your choice at any time with "Analytics settings" at the foot of every page. Google's use of this data is covered by Google's privacy policy.
• When you contact us: the name, email address and message you send, kept so we can reply and act on it.
• Spam protection: our forms may use Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks you're a person. Cloudflare's handling of that check is covered by Cloudflare's privacy policy.
• Maps: maps are drawn with OpenStreetMap data from OpenFreeMap, which receives the map tiles your browser asks for.

Business listings

Listings contain information businesses make public: names, addresses, phone numbers, websites and opening hours. If you run a business and want your listing changed or removed, contact us.

What we don't do

We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising.

Your choices

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by contacting us. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
